SL Sperimentale

El R129 nació con la silueta correcta y las vías equivocadas. El Sperimentale no redibuja el coche: lo planta bien en el suelo.The R129 was born with the right silhouette and the wrong track widths. The Sperimentale doesn’t redraw the car: it plants it firmly on the ground.

Base Mercedes-Benz SL 500 (R129) de 1999: monocasco de acero con capó de aluminio, roadster sin pilar B, capota eléctrica y arco antivuelco automático. La batalla se queda en 2 515 mm; lo que cambia es la postura: 88 mm más de anchura, 43 mm menos de altura, vías 50 mm más anchas por eje y rueda de Ø 679 mm.Base car: a 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 (R129), with a steel monocoque and aluminum hood, a roadster body with no B-pillar, a power soft top and an automatic pop-up roll bar. The wheelbase stays at 2 515 mm; what changes is the stance: 88 mm wider, 43 mm lower, tracks 50 mm wider per axle and an overall wheel diameter of Ø 679 mm.

En la dirección Sperimentale, paneles de carbono a la vista sustituyen capó, tapa, faldones y pasos de rueda, montados con separadores visibles. La regla es estructural: cada pieza expuesta tiene que parecer que trabaja.In the Sperimentale direction, exposed carbon panels replace the hood, trunk lid, side skirts and wheel arches, mounted on visible standoffs. The rule is structural: every exposed part has to look like it’s carrying load.

Antes de dibujar, cada encargo pasa el mismo filtro que nuestros proyectos: batalla/longitud, anchura/altura, distribución de masas, altura del centro de gravedad y ergonomía (H-point, ángulo de torso, obstrucción del pilar A) contra bandas de referencia del segmento. Las dimensiones se congelan en S2; después, mover un punto duro obliga a revalidar.Before anything is drawn, every commission goes through the same filter as our own projects: wheelbase/length, width/height, mass distribution, center-of-gravity height and ergonomics (H-point, torso angle, A-pillar obstruction) against segment reference bands. Dimensions are frozen at S2; after that, moving a hard point means revalidating.
